About
Holly graduated from Curtin University in with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) degree in 2011, and has been treating clients at Sportreat since early 2012.
Holly has always been a regular gym-goer and keen sportswoman, participating netball, water polo, tennis, swimming, golf and badminton throughout the years. Her sporting background has reinforced the importance of injury prevention, ongoing performance improvement and commendable rehabilitation in maintaining a healthy active lifestyle.
Holly has a keen interest in treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, in particular; postural, lower back and neck pain, as well as acute sporting injuries and post-orthopaedic rehabilitation.
She has had first-hand experience learning the importance of optimal rehabilitation following surgery, having undergone an ACL Knee Reconstruction in 2015. Although challenging, this event highlighted the physical, emotional, mental and psychological ramifications following injury, so she understands exactly what clients are going through. Holly is now stronger and fitter than before, and more determined to ensure others recover as effectively and quickly as she did.
Holly provides post-orthopaedic surgical rehabilitation for inpatients at The Mount Hospital and St John of God Murdoch Hospital, as well as treating clients at our Sportreat facility. Since completing her degree, she has also completed further training in Dry Needling (a type of acupuncture) and ROCKTAPE application, two strategies which enhance her treatments. She aspires to attain optimal clinical outcomes for her patients at all times.
In the future, Holly hopes to expand her treatment repertoire with further training in Pilates instruction, and would like to attain a Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy.
