Elena brings over 17 years of remedial massage therapy experience and in postural care.
Elena has a special interest in the treatment of neck, shoulder, and back pain. She achieves this with a range of techniques to assist in reducing stress and related tension, which can help with the physical and psychological impact that injuries can have on people.
Elena has worked also with people with conditions such as Parkinson’s, Motor-Neuron and Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, whiplash, and carpal tunnel, which has brought about further learning in how to deal with pain management, more effectively with certain conditions.
Elena uses a range of remedial massage techniques, including soft and deep tissue, trigger point therapy, acupressure, relaxation and myofascial release. She also does lymphatic drainage, TMJ (jaw) release, sports, cranial sacral, pregnancy related massage, Reflexology, Bowen, Aromatherapy and Pranic Healing. As a teacher of the Alexander Technique since 1999, she also has a keen interest in postural care.
Furthering her ardent learning in how the body functions, she is a keen student of dance, Elena performs in Flamenco and Tap dance and trains circus handstand (hand-balance) and contortion.
