Hello, I was wondering how much it costs to see the dietitian (initial and review) and how long the appointments go for? Just that I have had a previous experience with a dietitian who didn't spend very long and I felt a bit rushed/ I felt it was over priced for what I got given - just a generic meal-plan. Thanks Natasha
Hi Natasha,
Thanks for contacting us regarding you Dietetics questions.
Terreen, our Dietitian with over 30 years experience allows 1 hour for Initial appointments at $135 and up to 1 hour for review appointments at $115. So we are confident you won't be rushed and you will get value for money.
Private Health Rebates will also apply if you have appropriate cover

Do you work with Team Care Arrangements?
Hi Han,
Great question and we most certainly do!
We just require the referral from the GP and appropriate paperwork. Patients can even receive treatment from multiple professionals if required. For example you can see a Physiotherapist, Dietitian and Podiatrist all under the one roof at Sportreat and TotaLife Care on the same Team Care arrangement.
Please note we do charge a small out of pocket fee for Team Care/EPC/GPMP appointments.
You can call our friendly receptionists on (08) 9438 2400 to book in your care plan.
Do I need a referral?
A medical referral is not required to see any of the Sportreat practitioners unless you are making a claim under Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance, Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Veterans Affairs. Private Health Insurance companies do not require a medical referral for physiotherapy, massage therapy, dietetics and exercise physiology. You also do not require a referral to see the Sportreat doctor under Medicare.

Hi. My 10 year old daughter is doing a lot of little athletics and netball. She complains of sore knees often. I believe this could be due to flat feet, pigeon toes and knock knees. Do you have a physio who has more experience with this age group? I believe she might need sports taping to help her and if so I would like to know how to apply this each week. Who would you suggest we see, preferably after school hours? Thanks
Hi Donna,
Many thanks for your questions regarding your sporty 10 year old daughter. Knee pain in this age group, especially in the very active ones is not uncommon at all. Quite commonly we find it is a condition called Osgood Schlatter disease, which sounds much worse than it is.
All our Physiotherapists here are well experienced, educated and skilled to handle the problem you are most likely describing. We also have a resident Sports Podiatrist - Jason Rzepecki who would be valuable in a foot biomechanical and gait assessment. We offer appointments 7am - 7pm, so are well positioned to help after school hours.
Please feel free to book online here or phone 9438 2400 at your earliest.

I currently have painful hip/lower back/leg when I walk a few hundred metres. My doctor sent me for x rays which i have the films for, which may assist with a diagnosis. He suggested physio could help. In September I had a radical prostatectomy so walking has been my only exercise but prior to that I ran 5 days a week and went to the gym once or twice a week. So I presume physio is the option. Can you give me your opinion on that and perhaps tell me which of your team might be suitable for me to see.
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Physio sounds like a great option for you given your current symptoms and history.
All our Physiotherapists are well qualified to assess your condition and give you the best possible treatment available.
Please phone 08 09438 2400 or book online here for an initial appointment. Please also bring your X-Rays and Doctor's referral if you have one.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
